We also recognized that at the heart of the conservative reactionary wing of even the anti-immigrant front is a pretension to libertarian, constitutionalist values. Values that are almost never lived up to when they come in conflict with whiteness. So, we said to libertarians: will you defend your rhetoric or your whiteness? Will you stand up against fascism or find yourself in the camp of the NSM? If you stand today against fascism we will stand along side you. It’s important to note here that such calls were not disingenuous. We meant it.

High Noon is Too Late for Tea: Seeking Ways to Engage and Oppose the Tea Party Movement

I’m still pretty enamored with the Phoenix Class War Council/Fires Never Extinguished. Makes me wish I could have engaged with them when I was in AZ. Increases my interest in going back to the desert.

What I have found is that it’s those people who call themselves anarcho socialists that are not really anarchists at all, they still want a state structure and they are just deluding themselves. They just want to engineer a perfect society and as one critic told me he favors the Platonic idea of democracy and the people taking over the mechanisms of the state. How can you be anti state and pro Platonic social engineering? I have come to believe that the whole premise of socialism rests on a hatred of humanity at its core, an idea that humanity is inherently evil and people must be made to act differently. This is why the ends of every socialist revolution have been tyranny and genocide, the means define the ends and the anarcho socialists have historically resorted to violence to advance their ideas.

Free markets, and fuck you

I’m glad we’re at least on the same page here about not being the same political tendency

On the other hand, the “Anarcho”-Capitalist, even though distinctly lacking in tactics, are ideologically opposed to most such measures which would bring a society to a libertarian socialist revolt. They are against unions (at least, most of them are), against expropriation of land and capital by those who work it, consider Cooperatives “ineffective”, vehemently oppose all state acts which increase social security (while being least hostile to state acts which simply protect private property more) etc. Their ideological bases furthermore compels them to acts as apologists to the system through their dismissal of the LTV, the ethical support for the right to Private Property, accumulation and usury, the allowance or even support of hierarchy and domination as long as it’s “voluntary” and so on.
Even what tactics they do have end up being opposite to anarchist principles since they advocate the consolidation of force and judgement to third parties which is a distinctly anti-direct action idea.

Why Anarchists and “Anarcho”-Capitalists can’t be allies

decided to change my ‘libertarian’ tag to something more descriptive.

I think it was time.

First, as this may be read by Americans I should state that I will be using the term “libertarian” in its traditional sense of anti-state socialist rather than the post-1975 bogus sense of free-market capitalist nut. We anarchists have been using the term libertarian since 1858 and we are not going to stop now.

Anarchism and Health Care reform

But there are some Libertarians who remain unswayed by such ugly facts. Whether through persistent ignorance or sociopathy or a mixture of the two, they hold as an article of near-religious faith that they derive no benefit from the modern regulatory apparatus that they could not duplicate on their own with the homebrew FDA they have in their garage. Or even worse, they manifestly hold the welfare of others as far less important than their own profit and comfort.

How To Explain Things to Libertarians

From the time that I first encountered the organized anarchist movement, I was a bit puzzled by the overwhelming obsession with “racism” to be found in those circles. It might have made sense if anarchists were predominantly blacks or Hispanics or Asians, but, then as now, probably ninety-eight percent of anarchists were white, at least in North America. I personally helped found two separate anarchist student groups at one point. How many “people of color” did we ever attract? I recall two.

Is Extremism in the Defense of Sodomy No Vice?

I like how this guy has spent 23 years being a ‘radical’ and still seems to think that racism cannot exist when communities are mostly white.

Now that I have read more of this piece, though, my head is about to explode. I hate anarcho-capitalists. y’all are ASSHOLES.

Jesus fucking Christ. Are you reading Atlas Shrugged? Don’t you know it’ll turn you into an asshole for at least two years? When you’re college-age and your parents are paying for everything, you’re likely to be a big believer in people pulling themselves up by their bootstraps. Ayn Rand appeals to your age group for that reason, but the problem is, once you actually have to pay your own way, bootstrap-pulling gets a whole fuck of a lot harder, and Rand sounds more and more like a creepy Republican. If you’re over 25 and you still think her books are great, you’re (a) white and (b) an asshole.
