I haven’t lived in Michigan for (almost) two years now, and I never lived in Detroit, but for some reason I am still following this Kwame Kilpatrick debacle.
I like that they couldn’t wait long enough for paint to dry to change the sign.
Detroit Sites Slated for Demolition in 2008

Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick announced, among other things, that the plan would:
Demolish 50 vacant commercial and apartment structures around the city
Let’s take a tour of the nearly 30 thus far slated for demolition.” [via]
Contrary to popular belief, black Detroiters (because that’s who this article is referencing, right?) are plenty capable of figuring out that the asshole they support is a fuck up. Everybody in the state knows he’s a fuck up. But the thing is, some people support him because many anti-Kwame people are using *racist* tactics to get him out of office . And (silly them) they seem think that if you’re gonna kick a dude out of office, you might as well do it because he’s a total fuck up rather than because he’s a black man and you never did like a black man.
